How does Telebaby work?
Firstly, we’ll get your details and be in touch with a secure link to consult with a paediatrician.You’ll be able to discuss everything about your child, share images and get peace of mind. It’s just like visiting a doctor in person, so you’ll be asked lots of questions, discuss the concerns you’re having and come up with a plan.

What ages do you treat?
At Telebaby, we provide comprehensive care for children across various age groups.
For infants aged 0-12 months, we are here to address any health concern you may have, ranging from routine issues to acute illnesses and everything in between. For children aged 1 to 15 years, our primary focus is on addressing acute illnesses with the dedicated expertise of a paediatric emergency medicine consultant.
What services do you provide?
We provide you with:
• Prescriptions - Electronic prescriptions for medications and for specialised infant formula suitable for cow’s milk allergy will be sent to your mobile phone or email where you can access them anywhere and whenever you want. We can also arrange for most medications/special baby formula to be delivered to your home, in most places in Australia, for a small fee.
• Pathology request from.
• X-ray and ultrasound referrals.
• Medical certificates.
• Specialist referrals.
What hours are you open?
We are open weekdays between 8:30 am and 5pm AEST.
Saturday 09:00-12:00 AEST
Sunday: 16:30 -20:00 AEST

What types of problems do you treat?
For newborns and babies, we offer assistance with a wide range of issues. You can find a comprehensive list on our About page.
We can help with concerns such as:
- Addressing an unsettled baby
- Managing reflux
- Providing relief for constipation
- Managing milk allergies
- Treating rashes and eczema
- Addressing poor weight gain
- Offering advice for various other issues
When it comes to older children, we provide expert advice on acute illnesses or concerns, excluding emergency situations. We can provide guidance on issues including:
- Managing allergies
- Addressing asthma and wheezing
- Treating coughs and croup
- Providing relief for ear pain
- Assisting with eye problems
- Managing fevers
- Addressing minor head injuries
- Treating rashes
- Addressing sore throats
- Providing guidance on stomach aches
- Offering advice for various other issues
Please note that this is a general overview, and our experienced team is ready to address your specific concerns and provide personalised care for your child's health. If you suspect your child requires hospital care, please dial 000 or visit an Emergency Department without delay.
What about a physical exam?
Our paediatricians can attain a lot of information within a telehealth consult, just by hearing your concerns and observing your child and their behaviour. If our paediatricians feel your child needs to have a physical exam, they will refer you to a specialist or to the Emergency Department.
Is a referral required?
No, not at all. The purpose behind Telebaby is to get you help quickly and you’ll be consulting with an expert paediatrician. Unfortunately, because no referral is required, we cannot offer a Medicare rebate unless you do get a referral from your GP or specialist first.
The price will vary depending on whether you have a referral or not. If you visit your GP and you feel you may need to utilise Telebaby, if things don’t improve or you’re worried, then ask your GP for a referral.

How can I get a Medicare rebate?
Medicare rebate can only be claimed if you have:
- GP referral prior to your consultation
- If your child has a Medicare number
If you have both at the time of consultation, we will process the Medicare claim for you.
If you have a GP referral but do not have a Medicare number for your child yet - don’t worry! Just email us the Medicare number once your child receives it, and we will process the rebate on your behalf.
You can claim $151.90 for an initial consultation. You can claim $76 for a follow up consultation.
Please note that Medicare rebates are subject to change.
Do I have to live in Sydney to receive assistance from Telebaby?
No. We can provide care Australia-wide, so no matter where you live in Australia, we can assist via our telehealth services.

It allows you to connect with healthcare professionals through video calls, phone calls, or online messaging, providing convenient access to medical care and advice from home. At Telebaby, we leverage Telehealth to deliver high-quality care and support, making healthcare more accessible and convenient for you.
Is Telebaby service secure and private?
Absolutely. We prioritise the security and privacy of our patients. Our telehealth platform complies with all relevant healthcare data protection regulations. The video consultations are conducted using encrypted connections to ensure confidentiality.
Do I need to download any software or applications for Telebaby?
No, there is no need to download any software or applications. Telebaby can be accessed from any device connected to the internet, including your mobile phone, iPad, laptop, or computer desktop. Simply click the provided link to join your session.
